Parent Engagement : Opportunities & Obligations
As a parent of a Boy Scout, you and your family can enjoy expanded opportunities and you have several important responsibilities to support your son’s growth.  Of course, you need to encourage your son to actively participate and you help ensure he gets to/from activities safely and on schedule. As a Boy Scout, he should to take responsibility to know his schedule.
There are great events/outings with parents and families specifically invited. There are a few required roles for T72 scout parents plus an assortment of roles that can have varying levels of commitment.
Parent participation is an essential part of continuing a strong scouting program for your son as you bring new ideas and energy and can join the fun. If you haven’t already noticed, T72 is fortunate that many parents are still active contributors even though their son is now a T72 alumnus.

Troop 72 is a “boy-led” troop located in Abington Pa, and serving the communities of Abington, Willow Grove, Horsham, Lower Moreland, Jenkintown, Roslyn, Huntingdon Valley and others. Through our active boys, active parents, and active leaders; we maintain a fun, safe environment that teaches our youth the values and morals they need to become outstanding citizens in our community and nation.
